EventSetter was created to give the general public a place to promote and find local events free of charge. The website accepts daily event listings from individuals, groups or businesses. Users are able to post and edit their own events using the posting form available on the site. There are no restrictions on the number of events you can post.

EventSetter calendar listings are grouped primarily by city. In some cases: by state, region, geographical or metropolitan area. To begin finding or posting events, select a city which interests you. If it doesn't list the city you are looking for, you may want to choose a major city nearby that is listed.

Interesting concept and a good one too. Now you don't have to span different sites to know about developments(events) in your city. One site to get them all.

Sad though that they recognize only North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Either they have had no submissions from other countries or they haven't opened up for other countries or continents.
