Product Manager
The position will bear primary responsibility for providing product management leadership for Technorati's emerging global line of business intelligence product initiatives. The person seeking to fill this role should be passionate about finding meaning in data. This position requires the ability to interact with many different types of individuals including executives, engineers, analysts, scientists and other computer and business professionals. Responsibilities: - Working in close coordination with our Japanese counterparts, developing and continually refine a compelling product vision for the company's business intelligence product line, based on well-informed consumer and competitive research. - Evangelizing the product vision throughout the organization. - Developing compelling and detailed product requirements, final product specifications and a product roadmap for future releases in close collaboration with engineering, operations and business leaders. - Supporting marketing and sales on the development of comprehensive go-to-market strategies. - Day-to-day facilitation and leadership of project teams, including schedule management. - Management of usability design and user-testing. Requirements: - Three-to-five years of product management experience required. - Deep understanding of the product lifecycle (user needs, market opportunity, product vision, technical capability, product specs, schedule prioritization, successful product delivery); - At least two years of direct experience product-managing Web user interface design / usability projects is required; - Track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery; - Substantial in-bound marketing (consumer market research) experience; - Strong management skills and experience leading teams of people through influence; - Knowledge of business intelligence products and the world of blogging highly desirable; - Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills; - Ability to build consensus, work in a dynamic environment, self-motivate, prioritize and maintain a keen sense of humor; - Experience in software or related engineering highly desired; - Ability to speak, and ideally read and write, Japanese is a huge plus; and - A Bachelors Degree, with MBA preferred.
