Default Y Combinator

Y Combinator has an interesting proposal to Internet startup companies. They have two events a year on which they meet with founders of software and web service companies, and if they like their business ideas, they invest. Certainly very small amounts, but most of the time enough to build a demo of the service. What's most attractive, is that according to them, they take 5-7% stake in business.

Keep in mind, however, that this is just one of many companies and ways for you to build an application beta you have in mind. And do not forget to read the small print.
